SMRC and Ms. Cali United States Team Up at Special Olympics

In continuing the Santa Monica Rugby Club tradition of charity and community involvement, the Dolphins teamed up with Ms. California United States, Christina Meredith to help out and witness the amazing athletes competing in the Special Olympics Summer Games at Cal State Long Beach.

On June 9th, Dolphin Flanker and Dolphins 7s standout Brian Regal, fresh off his trip with the club to the Emirates Airline National Club Champions Sweet 16 was in the house with Ms. California, to present the award medals to athletes.  

The athletes got a kick out of the big guy in a colorful Dolphin’s 7s jersey that was maybe just a bit too tight.  Ms. Meredith was a big hit with the sash and crown!  v

Both Brian and the Dolphins were honored to be part of the festivities.
