Dolphins pound Sharks in 2nd Half Rout
The Dolphins won today 53-17 in a comprehensive victory over old foes the Back Bay Sharks.
The visitors got on the board first with a quick try in the opening minutes and again on half time, but the Dolphins game plan proved too much for the visitors as they scrambled to stay with the home team for much of the day. Lead by captain, Ken Aseme’s, three tries on the afternoon the Dolphins scored four first half ties and added 5 in the second stanza to close out the match.
Bud Light Man-of-the-Match was flanker, Dave Martini. Martini rushed for over over 200 yards on the day and was unlucky not to find pay dirt. Additionally, Martini made the most of his defensive opportunities, heckling the opposition fly-half throughout the afternoon and turning over plenty of Shark balls.
Overall it was the best outing of the year for the Dolphins on both sides of the ball. Next week the Dolphins head to San Diego to face OMBAC in a “must win game”.
